Agriculture Faculty wins grant on food research

On October 10, 2011 it was announced that a research project on healthy food won a financial grant for outstanding research work and professors by the National Research University of Thailand. Prof. Dr. Suthiphan Jitpimolmas, the Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer Affairs at KKU welcomed and thanked the researchers and offered his congratulations with a bouquet to Prof. Dr. Aran Pattanothai on his success and received the funds for Outstanding Research Professor from the Thai Research Funds (TRF).

Also, attending the press conference was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kullapapruk Piewthongngam, Vice President for Community Relations and Corporate Communications, KKU researchers and representatives of the mass media.
At the Press conference, Prof. Dr. Aran Pattanothai talked about this success and backgrounds of receiving the Funds for outstanding research professor and his research project on food for health.

After that other KKU research work was presented under the National Research University of Thailand on beans by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sanan Jokloy, a lecturer of the Faculty of Agriculture, KKU.

Also presented were the research studies on corn by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamol Lertrat and Dr. Palang Suriyaharn, of the Faculty of Agriculture, KKU, work on rice by Dr. Patcharin Songsri, a lecturer of the Faculty of Agriculture, KKU, and then followed by question and answer session. In addition, an exhibition on KKU research studies and work were also organized.

Prof. Dr. Suthiphan Jitpimolma presented 100 sets of  survival  kits  to victims of the floods in the Northeast  through Yodying Chantanapim,  the President of  Tambon Sila Administration organization.

After that the program production team for Mission of Star of KKU Channel donated 5500 baht to help the flood victims under the project, “KKU Ruam Namjai (unity/ harmony) to help flood victims. This money was raised from the Mission of Star which won the runner- up prize in the singing contest to win a Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn held at the night market in the KKU.
