KKU Medical researchers win Korean prize At the beginning of December Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kowit Khampitak of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, KKU participated in the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2011 held at Seoul, South Korea, where he and his delegates won the Gold Prize for their invention of the Endoscope Manipulation Robot for Pelvic Surgery in Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy and also the Bronze Prize for the invention of the Uterine Cutting Forceps in the Modified Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy.
The Office of the National Research Council of Thailand, also took part in displaying and exhibiting to honor the work of Her Royal Highness Princess Prof. Dr. Chulabhorn in research and to also presen 22 prize winning inventions by Thai citizens.
The Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2011 offered Thai inventors the opportunity to meet with investors, and those interest persons who bought the Thai invention work and products. There, about 663 presentations from 31 countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bosnia, China, Croatia, Erupt, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran and many others present at the fair.
