Engineering students in field trip to Japan

Engineering students under the JODC Project, Class 3, visited Japan on a field trip from March 5-13, 2012. Under the aegis of the JODC and AOTS of Japan, the students visited Yokohama City with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sunantha Kingpaibool as their adviser.

The program develops student potential in working and learning more about the Japanese management style following the Training Program on Japanese Corporate Management for Thailand.

As part of the program, students attended a course on Japanese organizational culture, visited Japanese companies in Thailand to observe, underwent a training course on Japanese language and went to Japan to visit companies and observe Japanese factories.

During the training course, students were given the opportunity to learn and observe the way of life of Japanese people, their organizational culture, and forms of working.

The students also learned more about technology and management in the leading five factories in Japan; Toshiba Science Museum, Panasonic Center Tokyo, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.  (Oppama Plant), Yokohama Nambu Sewage Center, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (Kanazawa Plant).

Mr. Takehiko Taniguchi, one of the Japanese experts who taught KKU students in the field of Japanese organization, gave the visitors the warm welcome.
