KKU personnel represent Thailand at international meeting in the Philippines
Mrs. Sineenart Pranboon, a specialist nurse of the Nursing Services Unit of Sri Nagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, KKU represented Thailand at presenting academic work on “The effects of support group on self esteem in people with epilepsy”
She was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kritiya Sawaengcharoen of the Faculty of Nursing, KKU at the 9th Asian & Oceanian Epilepsy Congress held in Manila, Philippines, from March 22 -25, 2012.
The academic conference was held by the International League against Epilepsy (ILAE) and The International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE), and was attended by more than 1,000 participants.
The research group on Integrated Epilepsy from KKU was led by the head of the research group, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somsak Tiamkao of the Science of Medicine Department, Faculty of Medicine, KKU. Dr.Somsak also presented research work in form of a poster on “How to improve the quality of life people with epilepsy in I-San of Thailand”.
Ajarn Dr Supinya Tantapakul of the Pharmacy Clinic of the Pharmacy Faculty, KKU presented “Therapeutic drug monitoring, Epilepsy Clinic, Sri Nagarind Hospital, Thailand”
There were oral 30 presentations on research topics and 153 poster presentations supported by the Faculty of Pharmacy.
