KKU photo contest winners announced
Results for the photo contest on the beauty of the Kalpapruek or Pink Cassia that reflect the University as a place of health and happiness were announced on April 19, 2012.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai, KKU President attended the announcement event, praising the winners for their good work.
KKU held the photo on the beautiful Pink Cassia tree on KKU campus to honour His Majesty the King and to respond to his royally- initiated projects on the preservation of the forests as well as provide information on the beautiful Kalpapruek (Pink Cassia) flowers and trees on the KKU campus. The contest aimed to promote community participation and preserve the Kalpapruek flowers and trees.
The contest was held at the Offices of the KKU President on April 18, 2012 with over 242 entries sent in by 66 people.
The first prize of 5,000 Baht and a certificate went to Mr. Issara Thabboon, under the topic named “Happy Family under the Kalpapruek tree. The shooting location was opposite the Offices of KKU President.
First runner up went to the KaeKaKae Photography team, who received a cash prize of 3,000 Baht and a certificate, the photo was taken near the Kwan Mor Hotel on campus.
Second runner up with a cash prize of 1,000 Baht each went to Mr. Arak Sinthukoot, Mr. Wachira Sapaiboonpol, and Mr. Wicthayapong Koryoon.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kullapapruk Piewthongngam, KKU Vice President for Community Relations and Corporate Communications, as the chairperson of the judging committee, said the best ones selected from all entries were in line with the topic and concept, showing the beauty of the pink cassia or Kalpapruek flowers growing on campus amid clean and green nature and making the University a healthy, happy and livable place.
She said the presentation ceremony for the winning prizes will be held for those winners from the photo contest soon.
