Incoming freshmen have orientation exercises

Khon Kaen University’s Vice President for Student Development Division and Alumni Relations Asst. Prof.  Likhit Amatayakong reported that preparation work for welcoming the incoming freshmen had been made and that they were ready to guide students on their new lives at KKU.

Welcoming ceremonies and activities will be held May 21 and 22 to greet the new students.

Asst. Prof.  Likhit Amatayakong said that this welcoming and camping event was designed by the KKU ‘lecturers and students, so as to welcome new freshmen. This activity is expected to help the new freshmen who will be treated with a paying respect ceremony for the Chao Por More Dindaeng spirit shrine, and will be joined by the Khon Kaen Provincial Authority as new residents of Khon Kaen province.

Alumni who were successful in life and work would return to tell the young students about their success and living status in the campus.  This is to help the younger students to get to know how to study well and live happily in the campus.

Group activities have been organized so that the students can meet each other and form close relations as part of the Welcoming Ceremony. Activities have been in the planning stages since March as the school wants the students to feel welcome and at home with each other.

The welcoming activities for the freshmen students will be held from May 19 -20, and from May 23, while University Orientation day will be on May 26,and then each Faculty's orientation on May 27

Asst. Prof.  Likhit Amatayakong, the representative of the KKU administrators and lecturers have assured parents that their children will be well taken care of and that they will feel welcome to the school by students and lecturers.
