Management Sciences students on Japan exchange program The Faculty of Management Sciences and Osaka Gakuin University organized an exchange program for students on May 23, 2012. The program “Japanese Business, Hospitality and Culture” was the second such exchange since the signing of the MoU between the two schools in 2010.
This year, the Faculty of Management Science sent 14 Bachelor’s Degree students to study and prepare for internationalization with a 2 week short course exchange program held from May 12 -26, 2012. The students were expected to learn more about Japanese culture, traditions, culture, and business management in Japan.
Apart from the exchange program Ajarn Pongphan Satthathip, the Deputy Dean for International Relations, and Special Affairs and group head of Hospitality and Management Sciences was also invited to be a special guest speaker on the topic “Thai Tourism, Hospitality & Culture” which drew a lot of attention from the Japanese administrators, lecturers and students of Osaka Gakuin University to the audience.
Deputy Dean Ajarn Pongphan said this exchange program will be organized annually with this being the second such exchange. He noted that last year proved a great success and that KKU has received more funding from Japan for the exchange programs; the Jassco (Japanese Student Services Organization) which have a one year course and a short course for two weeks.
In September, this year, KKU students will go to Japan to take part in the one- year exchange program. Later this year, KKU will host and welcome the visiting lecturers and students from Osaka Gakuin University
